Worn for work. Softened by time.

Discovered in rural France: a small batch of 19th to early 20th-century field scarves once worn by farmers in Provence. These weren’t made for show. They were made for labor. To soak up sweat, to wrap a loaf of bread, to carry through a day’s work under the sun.

Each one tells its own story: sun-faded cotton, hand-mended seams, frayed edges, and the occasional stain. Not flaws, but proof of life. We’ve left them untouched. Every idiosyncrasy is original to the piece.

Not meant to be worn gently. These scarves are as real as the hands that used them.

Whether tied around the neck, stuffed into a back pocket, or knotted onto a bag — this is a piece of utility turned heirloom. A fragment of the past, still doing its job.
