Cut from a circa 1920 crewelwork textile.
This traditional textile from Kashmir, India, was crafted for European colonies, featuring wool embroidery on a cotton base. Its stylized floral and geometric patterns are inspired by 17th and 18th-century European ornamentation. Originally used as curtain panels, these textiles were hand-made by skilled artisans, passing down their tradition of intricate needlework through generations.
