Cut from a 19th-Century handwoven linen duvet cover - France.

Woven by hand from flax linen in the 1800s, this duvet cover was likely made in a small European village, before industrial looms, before fast anything. You can still feel the rhythm of the loom in its weave: irregular, sturdy, soft. The flax was grown nearby, spun into thread, and woven into fabric to last.

There are sun-faded seams, hand-stitched repairs, and the kind of weight that only comes with age. This piece wasn’t made to impress, it was made to endure—to breathe with the body, hold warmth through winter, and soften with every wash.
