Made by hand in California, from materials I find around the world.

These jajim blankets were handwoven in family homes across Turkey in the mid 20th Century using cotton and wool dyed with natural pigments. The geometric patterns not only served as decoration but also held symbolic meanings, reflecting the weaver’s heritage and community ties. Their flat-woven structure made them versatile for use as blankets, rugs, or wall hangings. Visible wear and repairs testify to their durability and long-standing role in daily family life, carrying stories of generations past.

All products are made to order by skilled master craftsmen in our Los Angeles Tailor Shop. Please allow 8 weeks for production and shipment.
